The Window Project.
Featured Artists
At The Leather Shop Kyogle, we enjoy showcasing the work of local artists.
Every 1-2 months, we feature a new artist with a display in our shop windows on
the main street of Kyogle, NSW.
If you’re a local artist with an idea for a window display, we’d love to hear about it.
Just send your proposal to mario@sanchezleather.com for consideration.
There’s no rental fee for displaying your work; we simply ask that you respect the space and enjoy the creative process. Any pieces for sale will be available through the store on a consignment basis, and we’ll also share your work on our website and social media to help spread the word.

Jaclyn - Spiral Earth Pottery
@spiral.earth.pottery
Ceremonial Ceramics
Spiral Earth Pottery offers ceremonial ceramics for ritual practices, such as Tea Ceremony, Cacao Ceremony, and other medicinal rituals. The pottery is made with the intention of inviting presence. Through the curiosity and delight of playing with earth, water, fire, and air, the clay vessels alchemise into form for the functional use of presence practices.
Jaclyn from Spiral Earth Pottery intentionally creates the ceramic pieces for use in ceremonies, as well as daily home rituals. She handcrafts the pottery in the hills of the Northern Rivers NSW, and mirrors the earthy colours of the surrounding rainforest. Jaclyn feels the land on which these pieces are created helps to guide her in the production of this pottery. The play of light and moisture of the Big Scrub Forest surrounds, the colourful and inquisitive native animals, and the sound and energy of the mother waters of Tuntable Creek, inspire an expression of shape and colour through her hands in order to ignite reverence and inner stillness

Inga Nolan
@kyogle_at_art
Visual Artist
Inga is an artist who explores themes centred around nature, existential concepts, and the human condition. Her aim is to shift perspectives, engage thought processes in the viewer and seek insight into truth and authenticity. She believes a work of art can have life power, beyond the object itself.
Inga gained a Bachelor of Contemporary Art at Southern Cross University in her early twenties and began to exhibit her art as a freelance emerging artist. From her first exhibition held in a Lismore arcade she then relocated to Brisbane where she continued to seek opportunities and venues to show her art, first with ‘Bulimba Art Gallery’; She then went on to have several solo exhibitions, celebrating art in the spirit of D.I.Y.
As her practice evolved ‘Hogan Gallery’ hosted her solo exhibition in Melbourne’s Collingwood. A retrospective of her work was held at the Queen Victorian Building’s Women’s Gallery in Melbourne CBD and she went on to teach high school art and participate in the art community of Ballarat Victoria.
Inga has now returned to the northern rivers. This display titled ‘Open Heart’ at The Leather Shop in Kyogle marks the next chapter in Inga’s art story.

Artisan Jewellery and Ceramics
I'm probably an unusual artist, because I don't have my own studio or permanent space to work from- I've lived in my campervan for over 6 years now. But I've been very fortunate in finding wonderful people, spaces, and communities from which I work within the northern rivers. I also love creating in natural spaces and am known to take my clay and tools into the bush, or by a river, to create from the serenity of nature. It's extremely inspiring.
I've been creating my necklaces for well over 6 years now, and you can find me in over 25 locations along the east coast.
I've been working with clay for over 3 years, from a beautiful community studio in Mallanganee, and am a hand builder of functional art in small batches. All gas fired using stoneware clays, then incorporating found and fossicked objects from my travels and life.
My art is an expression of nature, my love of different modalities and techniques, and the beauty and use that can be found in everyday objects.
You are welcome to join me on my journey, on instagram under Figwickle.
