Mended Series (Playing With Leaves project)

Can changing something dramatically be mending, or is it altering at this point? I destroy these leaves and out them back together, surely that is still mending. Like ourselves, we can reinvent ourselves, but we are still ourselves, remnants of our past are still visible.
